I haven’t posted photos for quite a while because of preparing for our move from California to Montreal. Packing and loading was finished this past weekend and on Monday we hit the road for the 3000 mile drive to Montreal. We are currently on route, but because I’m doing the lion’s share of the driving and we’re on a mission to get there I’m pretty much only taking the occasional iPhone photo. When I restart the regular posts (hopefully in the next week or two) my photos will be from the eye of a newcomer to Montreal.

The Mad Maggies
I talk a lot about the band, but I never post photos of the band in action because I’m on stage with them. Here’s a new video of The Mad Maggies playing “Heaven on this Earth”–listen up:
Candid shot of my fave guitarist
There was some fine Irish music playing this night and I got a bunch of action shots, but of all the shots I took I really liked this one–John Doyle at Studio E.

Moving to Montreal
After 15 years here in Petaluma, our homestead will be changing in November. We’ll be driving to Montreal, our stuff will be traveling in a big ass truck, and hopefully we’ll arrive at the new digs at about the same time and everything will work according to plan. 3000 miles, another country… OK, I’m being optimistic. Stay tuned…
The image is of my Canon EOS M on the lazy table on a glorious summer day. I converted it to black and white with Nik (Google) Silver Efex Pro 2 and layered in the red in Photoshop.
