Roses while I reboot

I’m currently on day 5 of a 15 day “green” juice “Reboot” –that means I’m only consuming raw fruit and veggie concoctions made in our Hurom juicer or, occasionally, blended in our Vita-Mix blender. Why? Because I’m crazy, and I like a challenge. My goal is to shed 25 lbs and get my body back into “fighting” shape. So far so good, but I am having a hard time motivating myself to get out and shoot. I’m hoping that will change in the next few days. In the meantime, here’s one of the first shots I took with my 70-300mm mounted on the 5D Mark III.

Late summer rose

I’m on vacation and have no plans to travel. In fact, except for a few band gigs, I’m doing my best to stay out of the car–i.e., no commuting! So today, while chilling at the homestead, I decided to play around with a couple of different lenses. This image, shot with my 85mm prime, got the nod.

Late summer rose

Lens: Canon EF 85mm f/1.8. 1/125 second at f/2.8, ISO 100.
