I took this shot while stopped at a turnout on our way home from a gig on Sunday night–and “night” is the operative word. The 5D Mark III is amazing in low light situations.

While waiting for a pizza, I took several shots of the guy making them. His dough twirling technique was top notch.

Here is today’s shot of my favorite bridge after the last northbound crossing of my 13 year work commute. That’s right, NO MORE COMMUTES! The “commute” category is officially closed. Onward…
Lens: Canon EF 24-205mm f/4L at 58mm. 1/160 second at f/11, ISO 100.

After a gig in Berkeley, I happened upon this unfortunate guy and his friends. What to do?? I took a picture. (I’m sure he survived.) The image is straight from the camera at ISO 6400–no processing of the RAW file other than resizing and a tad of sharpening.
Lens: Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L at 105mm. 1/15 second at f/4.0, ISO 6400.

It’s hard to be discreet taking photos in a relative small establishment while using a 5D Mark III w/zoom attached. This woman definitely knew I was taking her picture and was kind enough to hold a nice pose.
Lens: Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L at 105mm. 1/100 second at f/5.0, ISO 1600.
