A lifting veil

After a year+ of almost daily photo blog (and in the beginning, Facebook) posts I think I’m ready to step up my game. The commute is a drag, and stopping to take photos only makes it longer. I’ll still do commute shots now and again if the sky/weather is interesting, but the mission is over. Time for a different tack and a different category (or two). Daily posts will continue. Onward…

Iron curves and cobwebs

When I’m at home taking photos, I try to find revealing elements in things I see every day. This close-up of our iron fire pit is a perfect example. The thing is obviously not being used, yet it has a prominent spot on our patio. The particulars of the shot are revealing something to me about my space. The composition is for everyone else.
