Now that we are living in Montréal, and experiencing our first winter here, I need to get some gloves that are functional (and warmish) for shooting with a DSLR on cold days. At sub zero degrees centigrade the hands get cold very quickly–especially those of this recent coastal California transplant. For now, the iPhone is quick and easy. Here’s me and Maggie on New Year’s Day at Parc Maissonneuve.
iPhone 5s selfie at -17°C (1°F). Bonne Année! Happy New Year!
We did a fair amount of train station chilling while traveling across Canada. Time being what it is, sometimes we arrived at a station several hours before the next “scheduled” event. To bide my time I took photos. This is a shot taken just outside Central Station in Montréal.

This two tone mural is in an alley about a half a block from our hotel on Rue Saint Catherine in the “red light” district in Montreal. Tres cool!
Canon G11 loving the Montreal street art.
