I’m chilling at home snapping shots of the transition from spring to summer.
Lens: Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM at 300mm. 1/200 second at f/5.6, ISO 2500.

The band played the NorCal Pirate Festival in Vallejo on Sunday. It’s was a lot of fun–and way better than I had imagined it would be. Here are several shots I took while roaming the grounds between sets.
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm.

Using shallow depth of field and 1 1/2 stop overexposure on the backdrop, I was able to almost totally eliminate the detail of the garage wall behind the amaryllis. The result was a “painterly” effect.

Late at night at SFO passengers wait to board their flight. I was doing the same, but occupied myself with a camera.

I took several shots of the Baum Iron Company Building while in Omaha last weekend. I liked this night shot the best because it has a gritty, “Mean Streets” feel.
Lens: Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L at 67mm. 1/10 second at f/5.0, ISO 5000.
