Maggie and I walked about 15 miles today which started with a trek from our hotel up Rue Peel to the top of Parc du Mont Royal. This was one image of the view we saw:

Note: I’m finding simple image manipulation to be quite burdensome on the iPad. It’s doable, but resizing SUCKS! (The weird blurriness in the foliage is from the resizing tool.) I’ll be redoing the posted images from the trip once I get home.

The long leg from Vancouver to Toronto is done. We are currently en route to Montreal via a commuter train–much more cramped, but there’s Wi-Fi.

The 10,000 mile photo blog will commence after we reach Montreal–no Wi-Fi on the trains. Beautiful trip so far, and other than no connectivity the Canadian ViaRail experience has been exceptional! And the scenery has been stunning!
We’re currently on a short layover in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

A couple of weeks ago on the way home from a rehearsal in Berkeley, I stopped at the traffic sign zoo. Unfortunately, it was late afternoon on a Sunday so it was closed.
This must be sign heaven.
