This is the main alley in our picturesque town. It’s located between the two main streets. If you walk by and just look down it from its entrance this the view.
From the street, it looks kind of grungy (and better in black and white), but a little over halfway down the alley one finds art. Here is a small section of the work.

Sometimes the alley side of a picturesque town is not so “picturesque.” Still, alleys can be quite interesting from a photographic point of view–especially in terms of contrast. And what better for emphasizing contrast than black and white.
