Shots from my daily commute.
I cross the Golden Gate Bridge twice every commute day, and I cross it frequently on weekends heading into the city for gigs or whatever. The bridge and I go way back. So I figure taking pictures of it is par for the course. Here’s an up close abstract taken today from the underside. The colored flats are planks from a section of a massive work area under the north end of the bridge.

Today, towards the end of my commute, I found this little scene. It looks very Sonoma County in late Spring. The grass losing its green means Summer is near.

The image in the header of my blog looks like it was cropped from the image below–but, obviously, it wasn’t. It’s indeed the same section of the Golden Gate Bridge, but I took this shot today–a much brighter day, and from a slightly different vantage point.

The sky cleared today so for commute fun I headed down to Fort Baker. I took a little hike up behind the Presidio Yacht Club and grabbed some shots. Though the color rendering of this shot of the bridge looked nice, black and white just seemed better.

I had a band rehearsal after work today so I had to get home. I did, however, manage a quick stop near my house where I grabbed a few shots of some turkeys as they were scurrying across an open field. This shot is zoomed all the way in so it’s all the turkey I could get. What I like about it is being able to see where they’re heading.
