While enjoying a beautiful Sunday at the homestead, I grabbed my G11 and took some close-ups of one of our watering pots. I had a different idea when I started, but, as usual, it took a turn.

The whole shootin’ match.

Here’s an intimate scene of a typical summer afternoon out in the hills of southwestern Sonoma County, California. The fog veiling the higher hills is a regular presence.
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm at 35mm. 1/200 second at f/11, ISO 200.
Canon T2i keeping it local.
I was having an “off” day, so in a fit of “I need to do something–NOW” I grabbed my camera, got in my car and did a loop out in the hills. This little bucolic scene was the fave of the 20 shots I took. And, yes, I’m much happier now.

The Doyle Drive construction site at Hwy 1 along my commute route is making progress, and today the big blue crane was in a good spot for a photo opportunity. I’ve been watching Big Blue for a long time but haven’t had the chance to get up close. Today I did.
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm at 50mm. 1/500 second at f/11, ISO 200.

I dipped back into the 10,000 miles folders for today’s shot. This is an intimate street scene in Vieux-Québec. The primary colors are true to the original image.
