Sipping a pint or two at a bar with a camera on hand sometimes makes interesting shots happen (did I just say, “Shit happens?”). I pulled this one out of the 10,000 mile trip archive, filtered it through Nik Silver Efex Pro (no cropping) and liked the result.

It’s been a while since I grabbed some commute photos. Today the rain subsided so I scooted off the freeway at the Mill Valley turnoff to grab some shots. Also, I’m demoing Nik Silver Effects Pro–hence more black and white. First impression… it’s the shite! Great PS plugin! No doubt I’ll pay the price of admission because it’s much more robust than the built in Photoshop black and white filter.

Being in a band means rehearsing in a shared place. Besides sharing a sonic space, there also tends to be props used for shows strewn about the hallway. This was the scene today–a mannequin girl band. Mannequins aren’t really my thing, but I had to take a shot.

We don’t do Christmas, but we do try to keep our Meyer lemon tree warm on frosty nights. Here’s our holiday tree in all it’s splendor and glory snuggled up in it’s blanket of Christmas lights.
