All aglow
This afternoon, on the street where I live in Montréal, the fall glow was incredible.

Tadoussac ferry crossing
We rode the Tadoussac ferry back and forth quite a few times during our stay. This day we were on the Tadoussac side (the other side is Baie-Ste-Catherine), walking the short Sentier de la Pointe-de-l’Islet trail. These are the ferry boats. Nice!

Saguenay Fjord
The Saguenay Fjord is a marvel, but its shoreline is only accessible by car at a few places along its length. One place is Sainte-Rose-du-Nord. The photos in yesterday’s post were taken while looking back towards the village from the small pier at the end of the main road. The vantage of this shot is from the end of the pier looking out towards the fjord’s expanse.

Autumn in Sainte-Rose-du-Nord
Maggie and I took a 5 day road trip from Montréal, first to Lac Saint-Jean, then down along the east side of the Saguenay river (fjord) to Tadoussac, and finally back home through the Charlevoix region. We had absolutely perfect weather for the first four days. And the fall colors along the route were incredible! About a third of the way between Saguenay and Tadoussac is the little village Sainte-Rose-du-Nord. Here are a couple of shots I took while we were there.
