I was in motion when I grabbed this shot. The articulating screen on my old, trusty G11 let me frame the scene while keeping the camera low and discreet as I walked by these two people. 1/800 of a second exposure time froze the action.
Canon G11 seeing but not seen.
I think these guys own the bench after the sun sets.

Mardi Gras came to Petaluma this year on a lovely, warmish February night. A good crowd of musicians and revelers showed up for the “impromptu” parade around town. All good fun!
Lens: Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L–no flash, all AUTO ISO.
Canon 5DM3 et toi.
After a gig in Berkeley, I happened upon this unfortunate guy and his friends. What to do?? I took a picture. (I’m sure he survived.) The image is straight from the camera at ISO 6400–no processing of the RAW file other than resizing and a tad of sharpening.
