I made a quick stop at Fort Point during my commute home today and grabbed a few rainy day shots. I didn’t have an umbrella to keep myself and the camera dry so I improvised with a sweat shirt I had in the car. I got a little wet, but the camera stayed mostly dry. This was the view towards the city.

After nearly seven weeks of unseasonably warm and dry weather, rain is finally coming to Northern California. During my brief stop by edge of the San Francisco Bay at Horseshoe Cove late this afternoon, except for the tell-tale stratus clouds, that a storm is brewing wasn’t all that obvious.

OK, so I’m complaining about the weather–again. It’s January and it’s warm and there’s been no wind or clouds or rain for weeks. The hills in the Bay Area should be green by now and the skies sparkling, but…. This is what most of the days over the past month have looked like at the Golden Gate–minus the fog!

Today’s post–just another quick, work-a-day commute stop along Hwy 101. I couldn’t decided which of these two shots I liked the best.

It’s early January and warm in Northern California. It was 69 degrees fahrenheit in the shade on the patio at 3:00 PM this afternoon. Weird! This is a “Nifty Fifty” bokeh shot of my clothes drying on the clothes line.
